The Teas - English Breakfast

I've decided to switch back to tea, as I was doing coffee for a while and it was giving me digestive troubles. The next few drawings will be cartoony representations of the different teas I consume.

The Green-eyed Monster

We're going to continue on the Harry Potter theme and show Harry as depicted by the Daily Prophet. He's a horrible, attention seeking little liar, isn't he?

Hero

Today, we're not going to do a villain, we'll do a hero. Heroine to be exact. This is in honor of Teacup (the missus). Much like Hermione Granger, she has bushy hair (half the time) and knows it all (most of the time). Much like Hermione Granger, she was top of her class. Teacup applied for law school and we weren't too positive about her chances getting in. Not only did she get in, she got a $20,000 yearly scholarship. Holy crap! That's over half of law school paid right there! She's an amazing person and I'm lucky to have her around.

On a slightly downer note, today starts my first four days off and I've got super allergies. My head is stuffed with cotton and I can't stop coughing or sneezing. I never get allergies and now I understand why there's a multi-billion dollar market for it.

On a much higher note, I bought Twilight Princess for the Wii. On a much lower note, it won't be delivered to my door for two weeks. :(

More drawings of monsters! One is about my first viewing of the movie Signs, which was filmed not too far from where I currently live. Scared the bejeezus out of me.

Last night was the soccer game. A lot of our team was absent so there were no subs and the other team had a plethora so they were constantly fresh. They wore us down after 40 minutes of running (which is tough). We lost 2-0. I played a lot better this time considering I took a kick to my left knee and I tore something in my right thigh. I'm having some difficulty walking, so I called in to work and now I'm resting and watching netflix through the Wii. I'll start sketching as soon as I have some delicious Trader Joe's cereal. God I love that stuff. Have a rested grumpy day.

Soccer was fun, though we lost. I went in knowing I'm the weakest on the team, and it showed. I hadn't touched a soccer ball since last year and it's like I forgot the basics like: DON'T pass the ball across center right in front of the goal. So basically we were all winded and red-faced by the end of it. Tomorrow means waking up and doing sprints before starting a painting of a dog. I think it's a French Setter?

Soccer

I've joined a soccer league for this spring/summer. I did it the last two years indoors and now we're outside. It'll be nice not to have to cover the walls because they can pass it to themselves. Corner kicks make for nice, tense moments. Anyways, tonight is our first game and I look forward to running around a lot while kicking the ball up-field. Have a grumpy day, and go Kimchi Keyboards!

Super Villain Thursday

Meet Maeve, the Gardening Magician! She's very passionate about her plants, so be mindful of where you tread. I guess she's loosely based around Strawberry Shortcake; more for the color scheme than actually copying a drawn child. I hope no one decides to sue me since I take these from my head and then make connections a week later.

Imperial Guard - Fight!

A scene of conflict from the Warhammer 40k universe. I usually liked the Imperial Guard stories more than the mythical space marines. Easier to identify with, I guess. Have a grumpy day.

Another for the God-Emperor of Mankind! Space Marines are fun to draw. Still making up a lot of details, but I think that's okay since the books usually describe the chapters and legions differently.

I'm a big-ish fan of the Warhammer 40k universe. I couldn't remember what a space marine of the Imperium of Man looked like, so I fudged some details. I think the overall effect is still there. Burn heretics!

Easter was very nice and refreshing. It did a world of good to see friends and just relax. I haven't laughed like that in a little while. Hope all you tea leaves and berries had a good time as well. Have a wonderfully grumpy day.

Life is really busy now. I always seem to be at work and now this weekend I'm traveling to Connecticut to visit friends. Preparing carrot souffle and finishing laundry are the primary goals, so I've as yet to upload the last super villain, MECHANAGIRL! Because of travels, no update on Saturday. Have a grumpy Easter!
