New Hardware

I received my new graphics tablet and of course it doesn't really work with wacom's drivers on their site. The pressure sensitivity didn't work, so I uninstalled those drivers and used the one that came with the tablet and now it works peachy keen.

It's a lot larger than my old bamboo. Plus now I have four times the buttons to map to keys or functions. I'm only using about half so far as I can't think of any more to shortcut. The touch controls work for the most part, but they're a little choppy at times.

I'm going to experiment with a new piece. I have the initial sketch posted below. I'm going to take it two different directions. First scifi then fantasy. I guess this'll show of my versatility to potential clients.

Also update on the Final Fantasy Piece.

Update 7/23

Didn't work yesterday. Continued blocking in values and adding details. Completely forgot what I originally wanted the lighting to be, changed it to reflect the new lighting. Overall, happy so far.

Blocked out some values and started adding details for a new piece illustrating a scene from one of my favorite games. Pulling out all the stops for this one. Hopefully I'll get my new hardware before I finish it.

Mega Man

I've got the job I always wanted. I'm a lead concept artist for a game studio. The only problem is I'm not getting paid for it. I don't even know the real names of the people I'm working with. We'll see how far this goes. Enjoy Mega Man

Wallpaper

I've been volunteering some time for an indie game developer where everyone is from different parts of the world. Lets just say it's interesting. And I'm never going to get paid anything. But it's the field I want to break into. Here's a marketing wallpaper I made for one of their games that's in development.
