Long Time

So, I went to an illustrator's convention...and I feel meh about it. There were two talks out of the seven I went to that were worth it. After I got back, I did not feel like creating anything for a while. I was so put off by the entire experience, I didn't create anything for a month or so. On top of wasting a lot of money I could have used to upgrade my tools. So no, I will not be attending Illuxcon in the future.

Finally I feel like I'm back in the groove of things. Painting all day every day off feels good.

Colored

Piece colored. Experimented with filters and layer settings. I really wanted the jewel-like colors you see on a sunny day.

Two Finished

Beaver button finished and I decided to color the wizard sketch. Went a little crazy on the color choices, but I think it pulled together.

Dragon and Bear

Dragon colored and expanded. Not too sure about the coloring to be honest, but I can change it at any time. I'll probably come up with different color sets. Oh, plus a bear! Grrrawr!

Complacency: A Lesson Learned.

For those wondering what the lesson is:

"NEVER BE COMPLACENT!"

I can't believe the mistakes and general sloppiness I fixed in this piece. I'm sure there's more to do, but I can't see it right now. Give me a couple weeks and I'm sure I'll pick it apart again.

The Garden Witch Revisited

Way way way back when I was uploading sketches directly from my sketchbook, I did this little girl for Super Villain Thursday. She's a garden witch and you best watch out for her plants! I feel like there's been an improvement from the first coloring job, but I also feel like I did almost the exact same things. Progress is difficult and disheartening. Plod on all you other hard-workers.

Edit: She looks like a biter.
