Scifi version of the spider illustration. It's amazing how much more I'm comfortable with perspective than say 6 months ago. Might make the spider a tad bigger, change the persp angles and start coloring.

I'm trying something different. I keep seeing images of people working out the values in black and white and then converting to color. I'm having a hard time finding a comprehensive tutorial for how to do this and it's completely frustrating. I can't add a new layer and change it to color, that gives the pic a horrible hand-tinted look. It's looking more and more like I need to add a layer set to multiply and pretty much repaint the entire thing on top of the values. I feel like I've wasted the past 2 days of my life.
