I made this piece for a Dungeons and Dragons themed challenge that gave a surprising amount of freedom. The requirements were to pick a market segment (I did 5-7) and create a female fighter wearing scale mail, holding a longsword attempting to block a blast from a beholder. After seeing several examples of said creatures I looked up pokemon and got some ideas from them. Oh, and it all had to take place in a forest clearing. I'm happy with most part of it, not so much with the leaves of the trees. I never know what to do fr those. And dang it, I forgot the flowers on the ground to break up all that green.
